The Friend Of Sinners

Proverbs 18:24: A man that hath friends must shew himself friendly: and there is a friend that sticketh closer than a brother.

Thomas Haweis:But the best of friends is the friend of sinners, whose surpassing faithfulness and regard all who cleave to him prove by blessed experience.

No one can be as close to us as God can. Dwelling in our hearts, held by His hand, in His hand, underneath us, going before us, above us, behind us, yoked with us, working with us, making us part of His body, the church and making us fellowcitizens with other believers. I am one of the unworthy sinners Jesus has forgiven and befriended and trust that you are. We will praise Him forever for bringing us near to Himself and to one another.

Psalms 37:23: The steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD: and he delighteth in his way. 24 Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down: for the LORD upholdeth him with his hand.

Isaiah 58:8: Then shall thy light break forth as the morning, and thine health shall spring forth speedily: and thy righteousness shall go before thee; the glory of the LORD shall be thy rereward.
